All Inclusive Luxury Cruise Western Europe: Funchal (Madeira) to Palma de Mallorca on the Scenic Eclipse II
Embark on an exceptional luxury cruise experience aboard the Scenic Eclipse II, the sophisticated mega yacht from the renowned Scenic Cruises cruise line. This 11-day Western Europe itinerary will take you from the lush island of Madeira, with its capital Funchal as your starting point, to the vibrant and sunny Palma de Mallorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands, passing through some of the most fascinating destinations in the eastern Atlantic and western Mediterranean.
The Scenic Eclipse II is much more than a conventional cruise ship: it is an ultra-luxury exploration yacht designed to offer an intimate and personalised experience. With its all-inclusive concept, passengers enjoy world-class dining in multiple restaurants, premium beverages, included excursions and impeccable butler service, all without worrying about additional costs. The ship features ample public spaces, spa, swimming pool, fitness centre and superior onboard entertainment.
The voyage begins in Funchal, the charming capital of Madeira, known for its tropical botanical gardens, famous Madeira wine and spectacular volcanic landscapes that plunge into the Atlantic Ocean. From here, the journey takes you south along the Atlantic coast of Africa with a stop in the mythical city of Tangier in Morocco, where East and West meet in a fascinating crossroads of cultures, bustling souks and the iconic medina overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar.
Continuing the itinerary, the Scenic Eclipse II sails to Portugal's Algarve coast, calling at Portimão, a coastal gem known for its stunning golden cliffs, fine sandy beaches and delicious cuisine based on fresh seafood. The cruise then heads up the Guadalquivir River to visit Seville, one of Spain's most exciting cities, with its majestic cathedral, the Giralda, the Real Alcazar and the unrivalled charm of its historic neighbourhoods such as Triana and Santa Cruz.
The final leg of the cruise takes you into the heart of the Mediterranean, with a stopover on the legendary island of Ibiza, famous not only for its vibrant nightlife but also for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town, crystal-clear coves and rich Phoenician and Roman cultural heritage. Finally, the journey culminates in Palma de Mallorca, the elegant Balearic capital that combines an impressive Gothic cathedral facing the sea, a historic old town full of stately courtyards, art galleries and a first-class Mediterranean gastronomic offer.
This cruise is ideal for discerning travellers looking for a premium and distinctive maritime experience: couples celebrating special occasions, seasoned travellers who value personalised service and exclusivity, or anyone wishing to discover the cultural, scenic and gastronomic richness of Western Europe from the comfort of a fully-featured luxury yacht. The combination of Atlantic and Mediterranean destinations, together with the intimacy offered by the Scenic Eclipse II with its reduced number of passengers, makes this voyage one of the most select proposals on the current cruising scene.
