Gastronomic cruise on a sailing boat around Mallorca
Gastronomic cruise on a sailing boat around Mallorca
This trip takes us around Mallorca: a week of relaxed sailing along stunning coastlines, passing hidden coves, luminous beaches and the varied landscape of the Balearic island. As with all Sailing Classics trips, tranquillity, nature and plenty of time on the water are the most important things. In addition, on this tour we have chosen a selection of culinary accents that bring us closer to the island in a particularly authentic way.
During the tour we visit the charming weekly market in the beautiful old town of Pollença, famous for its variety of regional products: olives, cheeses, herbs, fruit, honey, but also handicrafts and clothes are offered here on 300 stalls. Another highlight is a visit to the winery Can Axartell, one of the most interesting on the island from an architectural and ecological point of view. At an exclusive tasting, you will learn about the hallmark and terroir of these biodynamically produced wines.
At the Salines d'Es Trenc we will get an insight into the traditional salt production in Mallorca and taste the famous Flor de Sal directly at the place where it is produced. At the Treurer Olive Estate we will get an insight into the culture of Mallorcan olive oil and taste an oil whose flavour reflects the landscape and the Mediterranean microclimate of the island.
This journey will be accompanied by Boris Rogosch, gastronomy expert and culinary podcaster. As an expert and inspiring companion, he will complement the culinary stops on the trip with general knowledge, talks about products and producers, as well as information about the particularities of Mallorcan specialities.
PS: The culinary stops have been deliberately kept compact and are harmoniously integrated into the itinerary. Sailing remains the focus: short and long legs along the coast, time to relax on deck and the feeling of spaciousness and serenity typical of Sailing Classics. And, as always with Sailing Classics, the wind has the final say when it comes to the detailed route.
