A schooner cruise around Zakynthos and the Ionian Islands

On the second day, we’ll head to Agia Efimia, on Kefalonia, a traditional fishing village centred around a small harbour. It boasts numerous tavernas, bars and shops, a traditional bakery with a wood-fired oven, as well as tourist accommodation and local homes. In the evening, take a stroll through this beautiful, picturesque village and choose from the wide range of Greek cuisine on offer along the idyllic seafront promenade, lined with tavernas, where you can watch the sunset whilst enjoying traditional Greek food.

With numerous secluded coves and sea caves dotted throughout the shallow waters, this part of Kefalonia is an explorer’s dream! Enjoy your lunch on board as we sail towards lively Fiskardo, Kefalonia’s most iconic village. Visit the pebble beach at Antisamos and the sandy beach at Harami, and admire the Greek countryside up close. Brimming with bars and tavernas, Fiskardo is the epitome of traditional Greek charm.

On the fourth day, we’ll head to Lefkada, specifically to Nidri, the island’s most famous harbour. During your stay in Nidri, you’ll have the chance to explore its famous local markets, brimming with Greek produce and food, souvenirs and other interesting ‘little things’. Situated between Kefalonia and Meganissi, Lefkada offers a unique combination of crystal-clear waters and lush green wooded landscapes.

With its white pebble beaches, stunning blue waters and lush green landscape, Meganisi is one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. On the fifth day, we set sail for Meganisi! You can easily explore this town by hire car, by bike or even on foot! Watch the fishermen at work from one of the cafés along the seafront before enjoying the finest seafood at one of the excellent local tavernas, which serve up the best catch of the day the island has to offer.

On the sixth day, we’ll leave Meganisi behind and sail towards Ithaca, an island that many people are unfamiliar with, as this beautiful island is often ‘overshadowed’ by its larger neighbour, Kefalonia. On the way to Ithaca, we may stop off at the island of Atokos, a private, uninhabited island where wild boars roam freely. That said, we’ll enjoy our lunch on board, as usual, and we’ll make a special effort to find a quiet spot along the coast, in one of its many secluded coves, to drop anchor there and enjoy the beautiful Greek night sky.

Before returning to Zakynthos, we’ll enjoy a refreshing stop for a swim in one of the island’s stunning bays, where we’ll marvel at the crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery. On board, we’ll savour a delicious lunch whilst taking in the day’s final, unforgettable views of the sea. In the evening, we’ll moor at the marina in Zante’s old town, where we’ll gather to enjoy a special dinner hosted by the captain. A perfect way to celebrate and bid farewell to an incredible trip. On Saturday at 9.00 am, we’ll disembark after breakfast.
