The journey begins in Lisbon, a city of explorers with deep maritime roots. Before boarding, guests can enjoy the historic Alfama district or take a stroll along the banks of the Tagus.
Once underway, the Santa Maria Manuela heads south, following the Iberian coastline past the golden cliffs and whitewashed villages of the Algarve.
During the trip, the crew will invite you to take part in the sailing experience: hoisting and trimming the sails, taking the helm, participating in knot-tying workshops or even climbing the mast.
Whether you feel like taking an active part or just relaxing and observing, there is room on board for both active learning and quiet reflection. The trip ends in Malaga, where you'll be welcomed by the light of the Mediterranean. Known for its Moorish history and lively streets, it is a city full of colour and character.
In early March, temperatures along the route tend to range between 15°C and 20°C. Expect a mix of sun and cloud, light winds and cooler mornings and evenings. Warm clothing is recommended, including a warm jumper and a windbreaker.
