New Year's Eve cruise and fireworks in Funchal

After last year's success, we are once again offering this unforgettable trip between the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo, combining the pleasure of traditional sailing with one of the most spectacular firework displays in the world. Our journey begins on the 28th of December, when we set sail from Funchal to Porto Santo, enjoying the experience of sailing aboard this historic four-masted schooner. Upon arrival on the golden island, you can explore the serene scenery, stroll along the 9km of fine sandy beach or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. On 31 December we return to Funchal to welcome the new year with a magical view of the entire bay. Madeira's world famous fireworks illuminate the sky and reflect off the Atlantic, creating a truly magical moment on board the Santa Maria Manuela. During our crossings between Porto Santo and Funchal, we invite you to take part in the sailing, learn the knots, learn about maritime traditions and our scientific expeditions, or simply enjoy the camaraderie among the crew and fellow passengers.
